The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce recognized a number of businesses and individuals at its 106th Annual Meeting and Banquet Saturday night.

The marquee award is the Pacesetter Award, recognizing an individual for outstanding community involvement.

This year’s recipient is Tom Lennon, who came to Hannibal as a part of the business that became Continental Cement.

Other award recipients included Gracie Barra and Mississippi Marketplace as New Businesses of the Year. Hannibal High Football Coach Mark St. Clair got the Civic Contributor Award. Moberly Area Community College and Tom Marx of Marx Development shared the Community Betterment Award and HNB Bank won the President’s Award.

The evening also featured remarks from 2014 Chamber president Paul Ewert and 2015 President Michael Holliday.
