The recipient of the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce Pacesetter Award is a man with an impressive record of service to a community he loves.  A surprised Mayor Roy Hark accepted the prestigious award at the 104th Annual Awards Banquet Saturday evening at the Quality Inn.

Hark was introduced in a very colorful manner by last year’s Pacesetter Award recipient, Dr. Woodrow Burt, retired president of Hannibal LaGrange University. Not long into the introduction, it became quite evident to many who would receive the honor; Hark’s name was being whispered at many of the tables in the packed banquet room.

Mayor Hark employed some humor into his acceptance speech, but was very moved and thankful for the honor…
