Tipton Sentenced in Child Drowning Case

A former Quincy daycare provider will spend time in jail in connection with the death of a child in her care almost two years ago.

Patricia Tipton was sentenced Friday to 18 months probation and 364 days in jail. Tipton had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless conduct.

Two year old Pravyn Meyer was found face down in a pool at Tipton’s residence in 2014.

Meyer died the next day.
