Three Killed in Adair County Head-On Crash Monday

Both drivers and a passenger are killed in a two vehicle head-on crash on Adair County Route O west of Novinger at 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The Highway Patrol reports 36 year old Nicholaus Ford of Kirksville was westbound when his SUV crossed the center line and struck an eastbound pickup, driven by 47 year old Thomas Trauernicht, also of Kirksville.

Ford and Trauernicht were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Ford SUV, 30 year old Samantha Peek of Unionville, was pronounced dead at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
