Three Hannibal Men Sentenced in Tire Dumping Case

(New London, Mo)— Three Hannibal men receive sentences after pleading guilty to Criminal Disposition of Solid Waste.

Lester D. Hirner is sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections and received a $10,000 fine.  Michael R. Hirner received a 7 year sentence, and Dustin Smith received a 4 year suspended execution of sentence with 5 years supervised probation.

The sentences handed down in Ralls County Circuit Court come after Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie arrested the men following a two-month investigation into illegal tire dumping.

The investigation began in May after the Sheriff received reports of illegal dumping at numerous locations in Ralls County.
