Three Escape Fire at 8th and Sycamore in Quincy

(QUINCY)—A Quincy Police officer on patrol late Wednesday night turns in the alarm on a house fire at 8th and Sycamore. 

Sergeant Bryan Dusch saw that the back porch was on fire—blocking the exit from an upstairs apartment. Officers found a ladder nearby and rescued a man, a woman and a baby.

Firefighters say a smoldering cigarette in a trash can started the fire.
