Three Arrests After Stolen Handgun is Recovered in Quincy
A call reporting an unconscious male late Friday night leads to three arrests at 811 Cherry.
Quincy Police and Adams County EMS crews arrived to find 19 year old Pedro Smith breathing but unresponsive. A semi automatic handgun later determined to be stolen was found on the ground next to Smith. Police reports indicate that 28 year old Shatarria Knight of Quincy and 26 year old Barrett Ross of St. Louis began to interfere with officers and EMS personnel causing additional officers to be called to the scene. Quincy Police say Pedro Smith was taken to the Adams County Jail for possession of a stolen firearm. Shatarria Knight was taken to the Adams County Jail on charges of resisting or obstructing a police officer. Barrett Ross was cited for interfering and released on a notice to appear.
