I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but there's a home in Illinois that appears to be completely out of sight. And by "out of sight", I mean you really can't see most of it since it's underground.

I had a friend share this home at 213 N Mason Street in Deer Creek, Illinois with me. Before I share pics, here's what the listing on Realtor says about the home:

Don't miss this unique basement home located on a large, beautiful corner lot. This property offers lots of possibilities! Currently the home is rented but could be a great home to buy and build a larger home with the spacious lot there are plenty of possibilities. Property also offers a large 12x16 shed. sold as-is condition

Oh where or where has my Illinois home gone...oh where or where could it be? It's underground and boy is it unique.

Let's look at the positive side of this. I would guess the heating and cooling costs would be minimal. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer is a good thing. I still am not positive where the entrance is based on the pictures. Perhaps there's a secret tree in the yard you pull the branch and a door opens in the ground? I'm just guessing.

It certainly is a unique home. For the current asking price of only $35,000, there's probably a lot someone could do with this property. If you happen to be good at creating tunnels, that's an added bonus.
