Voters in Hannibal Fifth Ward go to the polls Tuesday in a runoff election for a seat on the Hannibal City Council. On April 4th, none of the three candidates on the ballot got at least 50 percent of the votes.

The Hannibal City Council Monday officially gave the go ahead to a runoff election on April 18th in the Fifth Ward Aldermanic race.

There will be a runoff election in Hannibal’s Fifth Ward city council race. In the three-way race Tuesday, Colin Welch finished first with 48 percent of the vote. But, to win, a candidate has to get at least 50 percent.
