Sparks Pleads Not Guilty to Domestic Battery
A Quincy man pleads not guilty Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court to a variety of charges in connection with an incident that led to a lockdown at Blessing Hospital.
45 year old Robert Sparks entered the plea to charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated DUI, domestic battery, aggravated fleeing to elude a peace officer and aggravated assault.
Sparks is alleged to have been involved in a domestic disturbance on February 22nd in the 500 block of North 22nd that resulted in a 49 year old woman being taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
Sparks was taken into custody a short time later at 30th and Koch’s Lane and was treated for self-inflicted injuries.
Sparks is in the Adams County Jail on $1-million dollars bond.
