Smith, Sherman in Court Monday

A Hannibal man and his girlfriend were in Marion County Circuit Court for arraignment hearings Monday.

33 year old Patrick Smith is charged with three counts of statutory sodomy. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing and an arraignment hearing was set for September 19th.

27 year old Sandra Sherman faces child endangerment charges. Judge John Jackson granted a defense motion to reduce Sherman’s bond, on the condition that she would testify against Smith. Her next court date was also set for the 19th.

Smith is alleged to have made multiple videos showing him committing sodomy with Sherman’s daughter.

Both Smith and Sherman are still in the Marion County Jail.
