Six Labor Day Weekend Fatalities on Missouri Highways

(UNDATED)—Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say six people lost their lives in traffic crashes over the Labor Day Holiday weekend along with one drowning on the state’s waterways.  That total is down from 13 traffic deaths reported in 2011. This year… troopers investigated 201 traffic crashes… down from 259 last year.  Labor Day weekend DUI arrests were down overall—from 175 in 2011 to 147 this year. The Water Patrol division reports seven boating while intoxicated arrests… down from 19 such arrests last year.
