Six people are hurt, four of them seriously, in two separate northeast Missouri traffic crashes Sunday afternoon.

Four people suffer serious injuries in a two vehicle crash on Highway 19 at Route Y south of Perry in Ralls County at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports a van driven by 26-year-old Jessica Ferry of Perry was westbound attempting to cross the highway, failed to yield and was struck by a southbound pickup driven by 69-year-old Michael Gibbons of Galva, Illinois.

Ferry and one of her passengers, 29-year-old Justin Haynes of Hannibal, were taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Another passenger, 6-year-old Joseph Perrigo of Perry, was taken to Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. Gibbons was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

Two Bowling Green residents are hurt in a two vehicle crash on Highway 61 in Pike County at 2:48 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 23-year-old Kalleb Greene of Hopkinsville, Kentucky was northbound, attempting to merge from the passing lane and struck a northbound car, driven by 64-year-old Robert Miller of Bowling Green.

Robert Miller suffered minor injuries. He was treated at the scene and refused transport. His passenger, 63-year-old Rita Miller was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital West for treatment of moderate injuries.
