Several Traffic Crashes Blamed on Snowy Roads in NE Missouri
Tuesday's snow kept law enforcement agencies in northeast Missouri and western Illinois busy.
Several fender benders and slide offs are reported in Adams County and around northeast Missouri. Two of the crashes in northeast Missouri resulted in injuries.
A pickup truck crash on Ralls County Route J shortly after 3 p-m Tuesday injures the driver and a passenger. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 77 year old Franklin Hurd of Perry slid off Route J and hit a tree. Troopers say Hurd sustained serious injuries. A passenger—76 year old Theresa Hurd sustained moderate injuries. Both were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
Weather is also factor in a truck crash on US 61 three miles north of New London at 10:45 Tuesday night. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a truck driven by 60 year old Gordon Ranzy of St. Louis went out of control on the snow covered highway. His truck went off the road and hit a rock wall. Troopers say a passenger—33 year old Talonda Scales of St. Louis was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
