(WASHINGTON)--U.S. Senator Roy Blunt is siding with the National Rifle Association on its stance against President Barack Obama’s recent gun proposal. Last Wednesday President Obama unveiled new policies to address gun violence. In response Blunt released a statement rejecting President Obama’s calls for tougher gun control policies. Instead he believes the focus should solely be on mental health.
