Why trick-or-treat on only one night of the year when you could trick-or-treat on two? On October 30, Safe Halloween for Kids will take place at the Eagle's Nest Hotel and Conference Center in Quincy. This new free event will give kids of all ages an extra night of Halloween fun in 2013!

Deron Johnson, Live Events Manager for Townsquare Media Quincy/Hannibal, describes Safe Halloween for Kids as an event that allows trick-or-treating in a safe environment, "It will be fun for the whole family. The kids will have a blast getting dressed up in their costumes and getting candy. Parents and grandparents will really enjoy spending a fun, family event with the kids and seeing all of the other kids decked out in their costumes."

According to Johnson, local businesses will be set up to distribute candy and other treats throughout an entire designated floor of the Eagle's Nest Hotel. "Area businesses will rent rooms for the night, decorate the rooms, and pass out candy to the kids and coupons to their parents."

Besides trick-or-treating, Johnson says other Halloween-themed events are planned, "There will be all sorts of giveaways, food will be available, games, a costume contest, photo opportunities and more."

All ages are welcome to participate in Safe Halloween for Kids, which will be from 6 - 8:30 p.m. on October 30 at the Eagle's Nest Hotel and Conference Center, 300 South Third in Quincy. Guests with special needs may attend starting at 5:30.
