A 200 mile walk across the state of Missouri to raise money for a western Missouri veterans’ home begins in Hannibal Thursday afternoon.

Troy Green of Cameron, Missouri along with ten fellow vets begin the “Ruck Between the Rivers” in Hannibal and plan to complete their trek to St. Joseph Sunday.

Tanya Ahrens is the president of Immersion Connections, an internet company and one of the sponsors of the walk. She told KHMO News that Green is part of a group called the Cameron Veterans’ Home Assistance League. He walked the 200 miles alone a year ago to raise money and awareness for Missouri’s veterans in general, and the Missouri Cameron Veterans’ Home in particular.

You can find more information on the Ruck Between the Rivers effort on Facebook.
