Robbery Arrest in Quincy

Quincy Police report an arrest following two robbery reports Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to 1201 Broadway at 8:32 p-m where a 64 year old female victim said she used an ATM machine at that location and was approached by a male who demanded her wallet while insinuating he had a  weapon. The victim gave a description and direction of travel. Four minutes later,  officers were sent to  1723 Broadway for a similar incident involving a 26 year old female victim. Officers began checking open
businesses for someone matching the suspect’s description. Police say 24 year old Arlo Pernell was taken into custody at County Market on North 24th. Pernell is held in the Adams County Jail on charges of  aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and theft.
