A lot of changes are coming to the Quincy Mall. First, we found out that J.C. Penney was closing, and then DEB. Then RadioShack left, not only in Quincy, but everywhere. Now Quincy Mall is starting to fill up with seasonal businesses for the holidays. I was reminiscing this morning about some of the stores that used to be in the Quincy Mall, but are no longer there. Remember these?

  • KB Toys
  • The Drug Store (I don't remember the name, but I used to buy comic books from their magazine rack when I was a kid) near the fountain court
  • Barrels N Bins
  • Sears Portrait Studio (but Sears is still there)
  • Waldenbooks (luckily, Quincy Books took over in the same location after Waldenbooks/Borders went out of business)
  • Diamond Dave's
  • Krieger's
  • LensCrafters
  • Kroger (I'm not sure if that area is technically considered part of the mall, but Kroger used to be in the area where Qdoba is now)

That's the list I came up with just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are plenty more. What former stores do you remember visiting in the Quincy Mall?
