Quincy Unlawful Restraint and Child Endangerment Arrest

A check well being call to Quincy Police results in an arrest on child endangerment and unlawful restraint charges.

Quincy Police were called to the rear of 2023 Broadway at 8:01 Sunday evening after a neighbor hear what sounded like a child yelling for help. Officers determined that a five-year-old child was home alone and locked in the basement.

The investigation led to the arrest of the child’s mother—Tricia Franklin. She was taken to the Adams County Jail. The child was turned over to DCFS.
