Two Quincyans face drug charges following a traffic stop Thursday at 10th and Jefferson in Quincy.

The traffic stop was conducted as part of an investigation by the West Central Illinois Task Force. Agents say the driver—37 year old Taiwon Byndum and 22 year old Shiya White were arrested after the Quincy Police K-9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Byndum resisted and fled. He was caught at 11th and Jefferson and found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. White is charged with obstruction of justice and unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Byndum and White were taken to the Adams County Jail.
