Quincy State of Emergency to End Saturday Noon
Officials held their final news conference on storm damage recovery in Quincy Friday noon.
Ameren reports virtually all of its customers have their power back.
Mayor Kyle Moore reports the city’s state of emergency will be lifted at noon Saturday. The Red Cross shelter will also close at noon Saturday.
The last chance for residents to dispose of perishables is Monday when a roll away will be available at Central Services on Jennifer Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A volunteer center will be set up at Quincy Senior High School Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone who would like to help clean up efforts is asked to call 217-214-7788 or just show up.
City crews will begin cleaning up debris Monday. Garbage and recycling pick will also resume Monday.
