A Quincy native who lives in Texas has been honored as the 10,000th outbound passenger from Quincy Regional Airport this year.

Tim Moore says he feels like he "won the lottery." The Herald-Whig reported Monday that he received round-trip tickets for flights between Quincy and St. Louis, along with a $50 gift certificate to a Quincy store.

Moore had been home in Quincy for the holidays to visit family and friends. He lives in Lewisville, Texas.

The passenger milestone triggers a $1 million federal grant for airport maintenance and improvements.
