Quincy Police Warn of Use of I-Tunes Cards in Scam
Quincy Police warn of another scam.
Police say the scam caller claims to be with the IRS, U.S. Treasury or other government agency and talks of unpaid taxes or a government fine and that if the tax or fine isn’t paid immediately… the victim will be arrested. Police say the scammers are directing victims to buy I-Tunes gift cards and send the cards or relay the card number information. Retailers are asked to pay extra attention to senior citizens purchasing I-Tunes cards worth large amounts of money. Contact Detective Adam Gibson at the Quincy Police Department with any questions.
