Quincy Police Ticket 35 People for Seat Belt Violations

Extra traffic enforcement during Thanksgiving week by Quincy Police results in 35 citations for not wearing a seat belt.

The extra enforcement was part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Officers say the detail also netted six insurance violations and three expired vehicle registrations. One motorist was arrested for fleeing to elude and there was one arrest for possession of marijuana. Federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation funded the additional enforcement.
