Quincy Police are investigating a possible shooting incident Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 5th and Chestnut area just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Several spent shell casings were found in a vacant lot in the area.

Several witnesses were interviewed.

It is not known if there were any victims.

The incident remains under investigation.
