A Quincy man who pleaded guilty to the alleged assault of a Lyft driver has been sentenced to probation.

In Adams County Circuit Tuesday, 21 year old Kolter Melvin was sentenced to 30 months of TASC probation, a program that allows those who complete it to have the conviction erased from their record.

Melvin pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in October. He is alleged to have grabbed and made sexually aggressive comments to a Lyft driver who had picked him up near 8th and Gardner Expressway early on the morning of February 17th.

Kolter was also sentenced to 90 days of periodic jail time, which was stayed, and 100 hours of community service.
