A Quincy man arrested in early March on child pornography charges enters a guilty plea. Quincy Police say 35 year old Joshua Martin is sentenced to ten years with the Illinois Department of Corrections following the plea to a Class 1 felony. The investigation started in November of 2018 as the result of multiple cyber tips. That information was processed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in conjunction with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Martin was arrested March 6th following a search of his residence at 516 Oak. During a court hearing this week a 2010 child porn investigation by the US Department of Homeland Security was noted. Police say Martin was a suspect but was never charged. He is given credit for 177 days served and upon release will have to register as a sexual predator for life.
