A Quincy man faces several methamphetamine related charges following use of a search warrant at his residence Sunday night.

Quincy Police say 33-year-old Steven Hester is in the Adams County Jail after police used a search warrant at his residence at 1106 North 10th at 9:45 Sunday night. Officers found items consistent with the production of meth and small knotted plastic baggies containing substances believed to be meth and heroin. Police say no one was home at the time when the warrant was used but that Hester returned while officers were still on the scene.

Hester is charged with aggravated unlawful participation in meth production, meth related child endangerment, possession of meth precursors, possession of meth manufacturing materials, possession of meth with intent to deliver and possession of heroin with intent to deliver.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies and the West Central Illinois Task Force assisted in the search.
