Quincy Man Dies in Truck/Combine Crash in Scotland County

A Quincy man dies in a box truck/combine crash on a Scotland County road north of Arbela at 2:05 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports a southbound box truck, driven by 27 year old Thomas Hurt of Quincy, collided head on with a northbound combine, driven by 64 year old Kenneth Hauk of Memphis.

The truck driven by Hurt caught fire and burned. Hurt was pronounced dead at the scene.
