Quincy Man Charged in Infant’s Death Gets New Attorney
A Quincy man suspected of murder in the death of an infant in January has a new attorney.
In Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, Quincy attorney Ryan Parker made his first appearance on behalf of 30 year old Travis Wiley.
Wiley is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery to a child.
Wiley is alleged to have shaken a two-month-old girl who was in his care January 20th. The infant died two days later in Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
A six-month investigation by Quincy Police led to Wiley’s arrest June 29th.
Wiley’s arraignment is set for August 15th.
He remains in the Adams County Jail on $5-million dollars bond.
