Quincy Man Arrested for Home Invasion Early Saturday

A Quincy man is charged in connection with an alleged home invasion early Saturday morning.

Quincy Police responded to a report of a possible home invasion involving a firearm in the 1300 block of North 4th Street at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

An investigation revealed that 42 year old Ryan Stanton allegedly entered the residence armed with a handgun and threatened the residents. One of the residents reportedly struck Stanton in the face, knocking him unconscious.

Stanton was arrested for home invasion and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Stanton was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of his injuries and then lodged in the Adams County Jail.
