A stolen vehicle report from Quincy leads to a pursuit and the arrest of a juvenile in Marion County.

Palmyra Police they observed what appeared to be the stolen pickup shortly before 3 p-m Tuesday and attempted a traffic stop. Police say the vehicle fled south on Spring and west on West Line at speeds up to 60 miles per hour. Authorities say the pickup went off a county road and into a bean field in an attempt to elude officers. A 15 year old male juvenile from Quincy was taken into custody at 3:06 Tuesday afternoon by Marion County Sheriff’s deputies. The juvenile is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and numerous traffic violations.
