Quincy, Illinois Steak N Shake to Close After Death of Owner

It's been confirmed that the Quincy, Illinois location of Steak N Shake will be closing this month after the passing of its owner.

After seeing a post on the Q-Town Restaurant Guide Facebook page stating that the Quincy Steak N Shake was closing due to the death of the owner, I reached out directly to the local Quincy, Illinois Steak N Shake staff and confirmed this is sadly true. Quincy's Steak N Shake will be closing on September 23.

The curious aspect of this is the owner Paul Ledgard actually passed away in November of 2023. I'm uncertain how this sudden closing of the Quincy, Illinois location is affected by this or whatever other factors might be involved.

You might recall the Quincy Steak N Shake has been through many ups and downs having closed back in 2015. Then their sign went down in January of 2024 and rumors of a possible restaurant closing happened then, too.
