Quincy Cyclist Charged following Collision

A Quincy cyclist sustained injury when he rode into the side of a car on State street at 12:17 Monday afternoon.

Quincy Police say 52-year-old Russell Daniels was riding a motorized bicycle northbound on 11th when he failed to stop at a stop sign at State Street. Daniels bike hit the side of a car traveling east on State. Daniels was taken to Blessing Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Daniels was cited for a violation of traffic law concerning bicycles and released on a notice to appear.
