Quincy City Council members are again considering a two percent food and beverage tax.
Quincy Mayor Kyle Moore wants to use the anticipated 1.4 million dollars in revenue toward talent… tourism and retail initiatives intended to grow Quincy’s population to 45-thousand by 2030. Aldermen heard the first reading of the ordinance last (MON) night. Two more readings are required for adoption. If passed… the tax would be implemented starting May 1 of 2020.
