Quincy Boy Hospitalized Following Fall From Pickup

A 12 year old Quincy boy is in critical condition following a fall from a pickup truck at 16^th and Cedar at 5:11 Wednesday afternoon.

Quincy Police say EMS personnel arrived to find 12 year old Gavin Longcore unresponsive in the street with a head injury. Police say Gavin hopped on the back of the pickup as his mother—43 year old Dianne Hamann drove away. Police say Hamann did not know he was on the back of the truck. The police report indicates Gavin fell from the pickup as Hamann turned north on 16^th. Gavin Longcore was taken to Blessing Hospital and on to a hospital in Springfield for treatment.
