Quincy Armed Robbery and Shooting Under Investigation

Quincy Police are investigating an armed robbery report.

Officers were called to the Blessing Hospital emergency room at 10 p.m. Sunday because of a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. The 34-year-old victim told police he was walking in the 5th and Cedar area when he was approached by three black males who attempted to rob him at gunpoint. Police say that during the robbery the victim was shot in the hand.

No suspect information is available at this time. Police say the victim is in stable condition.
