The manager at Quincy Regional Airport has submitted his resignation.

Mayor Kyle Moore announced Tuesday that Jarred Hester had submitted his resignation effective immediately.

The resignation comes amid questions by the city council about a marketing campaign that involved the purchase of over $4,000 worth of airline tickets, and an investigation by the FAA about processes at the airport.

The 36-year-old Hester was hired as airport manager in September of 2013. Central Services Director Marty Stegeman will serve as interim airport manager.
