A highlight of the spring events season in Quincy becomes the latest victim of COVID-19.

It was announced Thursday that Quincy’s annual St. Patrick’s Parade, which had been scheduled for Saturday, March 13th, will not take place.

Parade organizer Jeff Dorsey said in a statement that it was with, “a great deal of reservation,” that the decision was made that what would have been the 35th annual St. Pat’s parade will not be held.

Dorsey said that while COVID numbers have been encouraging lately, the last thing he wants to see is an uptick in numbers because of the first major outdoor event of the spring.

But, you are invited to mark your calendar for March 12th, 2022 for the next Quincy St. Patrick’s Parade.
