Officials with the Quincy Knights of Columbus announced Tuesday the annual KC Bar-B-Que has been cancelled for 2020.

Officials cited a number of COVID related factors that resulted in the cancellation.
They said the carnival that normally comes to town will not be in the area because of the cancellation of other area fairs.

It was noted that, although most of the KC Bar-B-Que activities are held outside, it would be difficult to maintain state-mandated social distancing.

The safety of the many workers that make the event was also a concern.

The KC Bar-B-Que is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Quincy Knights of Columbus.

The event was to have been held August 13th through the 16th.
