Proposed Intermodal Port near Quincy Gets a Boost

An intermodal port planned along the Mississippi River south of Quincy gets a boost.

The facility is planned for an area just south of Lock and Dam 21. Up to 1.3 million dollars comes from Illinois’ Jobs Now capital construction program. Governor Pat Quinn stopped by Quincy Regional Airport early Monday evening to make the announcement.  That 1.3 million dollars is to cover the design phase of the Mid America Port which is to be developed as a public private partnership.
