Probable cause was found Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court to hold a Quincy man for trial in connection with the shooting death of another Quincy man in November of 2015.

In a preliminary hearing, Judge Robert Adrian ruled there was probable cause for 54 year old Steven Gavin to stand trial on four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery.

Gavin is alleged to have shot 48 year old Carlous Wires to death at his home on North Fourth Street. Gavin is also alleged to have robbed Wires of cash and cannabis.

Gavin is scheduled for arraignment July 12th. He remains in the Adams County Jail on $5-million dollars bond.
