A woman has been charged after St. Louis police say she intentionally rammed her SUV into a median, killing a passenger.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports 31-year-old Eileen N. Young turned herself in to police Wednesday. She has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, misdemeanor assault and felony possession of marijuana.

Police say on Feb. 5, Young was driving while having an argument with her boyfriend, who was in the front passenger seat. Police say Young threatened to crash the vehicle, which had three passengers in the back, and then swerved the car from a right shoulder across a highway and into the center median.

According to authorities, the car flipped and 60-year-old Larry Wilson was killed after being ejected from the vehicle through the windshield.

The newspaper says Young plans to be represented by a public defender.
