Peoria Man Charged With Making Child Pornography

A 24-year-old Peoria man faces charges of producing child pornography.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports Seth A. Morris was charged Monday in Peoria's U.S. District Court.

A filed complaint says the investigation began when a middle school-aged girl told authorities that Morris allegedly sent her a sexually explicit photo involving a minor on a social networking site.

Investigators allegedly found several sexually explicit chats between the tipster and Morris, including a photo.

Authorities say police were able to trace the photos to Morris' phone. He allegedly admitted involvement in the online chats and using his phone to take sexually explicit photos involving a 3-year-old boy.

He allegedly admitted sending the girl a photo in the hope of getting similar pictures.

A listed number for Morris couldn't be located Monday.
