Pedestrian Injured at Sixth and Maine in Quincy

A Quincy woman is recovering from injuries sustained when she was hit by a car at 6th and Maine in Quincy at 12:10 Thursday afternoon.
Quincy Police say 39 year old Tara Wiskirchen was crossing Sixth Street when she was struck by a car driven by 50 year old Stephanie Embree of Quincy. Embree was turning east onto Maine and told police she did not see Wiskirchen. Police say Wiskirchen was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury. Embree was cited for improper driving.
