Payson Man Arraigned on Federal Child Pornography Charges

A Payson man was in federal court Tuesday on child pornography charges.

24 year old Skyler Durbin was arraigned in Magistrate Court in Springfield on two counts of receiving and distributing child pornography and two counts of possession of child porn.

The indictment against Durbin alleges that he received, distributed and possessed the images on December 26th, 2018 and January 31st, 2019.

The charges came as the result of an investigation by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Durbin is scheduled to stand trial June 4th. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
