(Monroe City, Mo)--The Palmyra Panthers Boys and Girls basketball teams accomplished something this weekend that hasn’t happened for 13 years.

Sports Director Bill Shuler had the call from the Monroe City Tournament Saturday night, as the Palmyra Lady Panthers beat Marceline 62 to 47, and Palmyra Boys defeat the Louisiana Bulldogs, 74 to 72 to claim championship titles.

The Consolation Championship boys game saw Mark Twain edge  South Shelby 58 to 54.

In girls action, Consolation game, Mark Twain defeats Paris 44 to 35.

 

The Hannibal Pirates basketball team knocked off the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders 69 to 57. Dylan Powell, Tre'Von Jones, and Eric Hugenberg were high scorers for the Pirates.

Springfield edges Quincy High School 48 to 46.

In college basketball, St. Ambrose defeats the HLGU Trojans 78 to 65.
