Palmyra Shopko to Close Early Next Year

Officials with Shopko announce that their store in Palmyra will close its doors early next year.

The pharmacy in the Shopko Hometown store on Highway 61 in Palmyra will close November 16th, with liquidation sales in the store beginning the next day. The store is expected to close in February.

Officials give a lack of sales as the reason for the closure.

The company says they will help employees transfer to other locations and will provide severance benefits.

The Shopko in Palmyra has been open since 2012.
