Palmyra, Hannibal Suffer Home Losses Friday Night
Both the Palmyra Panthers and Hannibal Pirates closed out their regular seasons with home losses Friday night.
At Palmyra, the rival Monroe City Panthers came to call and came away with a 32-0 victory.
Monroe City was all about ball control, with long drives resulting in each of their touchdowns. Logan Minter scored twice on runs of one and ten yards, Tariq Garner broke away for a 40-yard TD scamper, with Jonathan Shuck accounting for the other score with a 13 yard run.
Palmyra falls to 5-4 and Monroe City closes out the regular season at 6-3.
District play begins next weekend.
In Hannibal, the Pirates lost to Columbia Battle 28-14. The visitors dominated the second half, breaking out to a two touchdown lead and holding on for the win.
The Pirates fall to 7-2 with the loss.
